Manifesting and Support

Sometimes there are people supporting us that we don’t even know about.

Case in point: Gina.

I don’t see Gina very often. Almost every time we are together it’s at a party or other social event where talking, catching up…DEEP conversations aren’t really possible. Today, I talked to Gina on the phone for nearly 45 minutes.

This is a friend who has been waiting for me to do some things, plan some things, organize some things I’ve been talking about for a while. A while.

She’s number TWO on the “when are we starting the book discussion group?” bandwagon. Crap. Am I ignoring the messages from the Universe? Are there people waiting for me to do what I said I would do? Who else is out there?

Meanwhile, I’m sitting in my house (or traveling around) NOT moving forward on these “really great ideas.”

Here’s what I know about how the Universe “hears” that sort of nonsense. If I say I want something and I take even the tiniest baby step in that direction, then doors open and more opportunities to grow and develop “magically” appear in my life. On the other hand, if I say I want something and I sit in a dark room and hide (not that I’ve been doing that) then the Universe thinks it was just a nice idea and I’m not really serious about it. And the opportunities “magically” disappear.

All it takes is the BABIEST of baby steps to get the flow moving. Just START.

Gina also wants to help with the girl’s seminar. Where is that? Ok, I’ve been working on the music for it. That’s a baby step. I’ve decided on the format (Friday evening, Saturday) and the length (8 hours). I have the outline and…where’s the beef? Content, honey. We need content.

I’ve been noticing incompletions in my life – books unfinished, garage not quite cleaned, files not filed…it all adds up. I’ve finished three books this week (I KNOW!! THREE!!). I’m back in town the week of Valentine’s Day so the garage is on the list. Cleaning it up. Cleaning my LIFE up.

Gina wants to help develop and work the seminar. So let her, already! She’s done enough seminar work and presentations and working with people that I’m sure she has great ideas. And Kathy. And Lil. And Patrice. And Michelle. And Anita. And any number of Wonder Women who all want girls to grow up strong and confident. All of these people can be contributors. I like working with a team. SO GET BUSY!! Set the date for a seminar-writing summit. YES!! That’s what we need. We need to lock ourselves in a room and not leave until the damn thing is finished.

I LOVE IT!!

Take THAT, Universe.
